Job description
- Responsible for the performance of General Merchandise Category, which include but not limited to: Home & Living, and Automotive.
- Fully accountable for growing all revenue streams (Market Place, Retail, Brand Partnerships)
- Define and execute strategy (for both short term and long term) for the Category
- Determine the brands, sub-category and business model to adopt for Lazada Indonesia
- Development of Category Management strategies providing insights and retail solutions, addressing assortment, cost, pricing and marketing
- Work closely with Lazada’s Regional team on various initiatives
- Lead of the partnership discussions with the key brands’ and stakeholders’ top management in Indonesia
- Converting brand strategy into sales strategy with actionable recommendations
- Working closely with the COO and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the organization
- Oversee category performance metrics and drive continuous improvements
- Providing guidance, leadership and category/brand expertise to field category management managers
- Leading and/or participating in Corporate priority projects
Job requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in e-commerce,top consulting, investment banking or related industry experience
- At least 5 years of management experience
- Excellent analytical/data interpretation into strategies and capabilities
- Ability to create compelling sales stories and strategies which can impact the bottom line
- Excellent oral/written and platform skills
- Ability to develop and secure leadership role within Category Management function for business unit
- Desire to work in a team environment and foster cross-functional support and learning
- Objective analytical power - makes accurate/objective assessments of problems
- Strong market orientation - an outward focus toward the customer/consumer to maximize business results
- Fluency in English
